Best for: Carrying around your iPhone, money, and cards, without looking like a nerd.
Pleather is pretty amazing stuff. It may not smell like leather, but the impression is otherwise flawless. And way less pricey than the real deal. For $13.49, the Tucker Bifold is a great value, but it's also a well-designed home for your iPhone and cash.
On the right-hand side is a snug iPhone case with a reinforced back and all the necessary cutouts for cameras, speakers, mics, jacks, and buttons. Opposite you've got a large pocket for bills and lift passes, plus two card slots and a mesh ID window. On the outside is another big pocket, disguised as a two-tone band, where you can stash your debit card for fast access. If you're texting or talking on the phone, you simply flip the cover around. If you're taking photos or video, you can easily do it one-handed without the front flap getting in the way.
When we inevitably dropped the thing, it fell facedown on the floor like an open book, but the thick case protected the screen. This gave us the idea to hold the wallet like an open book, thumb down the middle, and do some light iPhone reading. Turns out we actually preferred it to just holding the phone by itself.
