A Nintendo Punch-Out Spoof Predicted the Mayweather-Pacquiao Result

It turns out that that no one — not even Mike Tyson — correctly predicted how the Mayweather-Pacquiao "Fight of the Century" would play out — except this 8-bit version of the big money match.

The hilarious video, created by YouTube's Noober Goober Gaming, was posted on Saturday afternoon, but skewers the event like the animators had already watched the bout. Even better: It's all recreated in the fashion of the classic 80s Nintendo game Punch-Out!! Avatars of Mayweather and Pacquiao dance around the ring for 12 rounds, hug a lot, land few punches, and impress no one, even causing the referee to declare, "Meh" at the end.

After Mayweather claims the less-than-impressive victory, the avatars exchange: "Boxing is dead," says the virtual Pacquiao. "It doesn't matter," replies the Mayweather. "We already got their money."
