Q: Do whitening toothpastes actually work?
A: Sort of. Those with the ADA seal of acceptance should temporarily remove mild surface stains. If you’re looking for a more permanent solution, see your dentist, who will likely use a bleaching agent on your chompers.

Not sure if I trust the ADA’s approval for whitening agents, but if its for mild cases, I guess it can’t be too bad for you. Still, I’d prefer to see my own dentist.

I’ve been using Colgate’s whitening toothpaste for several months now, and have noticed absolutely no difference since when i was using regular toothpaste. I think it’s just a marketing fad to be honest.

When you’re not using either whitestrips or trays tooth whitening toothpaste is a great way slow/halt re-staining.
