How Will Netflix's Price Hikes Hit You?

Many Netflix subscribers across the United States are going to be a little lighter in the wallet starting next month. The streaming behemoth announced that prices would be going up in November. Those paying for the $9.99 service will eventually be charged $10.99. Those with top-tier service will see prices go up from $11.99 to $13.99. The basic plan will remain at $7.99.

The changes will only affect U.S. customers. Beginning on October 19 Netflix will alert users to the new prices, and all users will be given 30 days notice before their next billing date. 

Speaking to Gizmodo, a Netflix spokesperson cited more original and interactive content as reasons for the shift. Check out some of the new interactive features in the video below.
