For the Guy Who Doesn't Give Up: Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand
There aren't enough superlatives available to adequately describe Louis Zamperini. The Olympic long-distance runner served as an Army airman in World War II, surviving a crash that killed eight crew members. He was captured by Japanese sailors and survived two years of torture and abuse before returning to America. Zamperini died in 2014 at the age of 97, but his spirit lives on through Hillenbrand's exciting biography.
