Tues 12/20: Tony Bennett Celebrates 90: The Best Is Yet to Come (NBC)
Bob Dylan may not have shown up to the Nobel Prize ceremony, but he did show up to Tony Bennett’s birthday special. This year we have had to say farewell to a number of our most cherished performers, so perhaps it is a good time to cherish the icons we still have around. Tony Bennett is one such icon. Still performing around the world at 90 years young, the singer has racked up 19 Grammy awards and a worldwide following. Special guests who drop by to pay their respects along with Dylan include Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Bruce Willis, Diana Krall, Kevin Spacey, and the ceremonies are hosted by Alec Baldwin, who expertly impersonated Bennett on Saturday Night Live.
