Tues 12/6: I Bought A Rainforest (Nat Geo)
National Geographic wildlife photographer Charlie Hamilton James shot in Peru’s Manu National Park, the most bio-diverse place on Earth, for more than two decades. When the chance came to protect the animals living there, by purchasing 100 acres of Peruvian rain forest that ran next to it, he didn’t blink. But little did he know that the land that he purchased was also home to a number of interesting neighbors, illegal logging interests, as well as a hidden illegal cocaine factory. James took the development as an opportunity to share the story of this beautiful region by sharing his experience as an Amazonian landowner.
