Weds 11/23: Legend of Croc Gold
Just off the coast of Papua New Guinea reportedly sits one of the largest untapped gold reserves in the world, on the remote island of Bougainville. The only obstacle standing between modern miners and the score of a lifetime is a pretty serious one: a river full of massive saltwater crocodiles. The prehistoric reptiles have already snatched a number of fortune seekers from the shores, so even though reward could be great the threat is real. Despite the risk, miner Farley Dean has decided to move his family from their Alaskan home to try their luck south of the equator, where Discovery’s cameras are there to capture it all.
