30 for 30: Hawaiian: The Legend of Eddie Aikau
Eddie Aikau may not be a household name, but the late and legendary big-wave surfer lived a truly remarkable life. The athlete won the prestigious 1977 Duke Kahanamoku Invitational Surfing Championship, and never shying away from insane crests, the phrase "Eddie would go" even became part of the local vernacular. The documentary chronicles the native Hawaiian's adventures, who not only possessed an innate mastery of the art of surfing, but also maintained a lifeguarding record of over 500 rescues at one of the world's most dangerous surf spots, Waimea Bay.
