Hells Angels On Wheels (1967)
Made during the height of the popularity of bike gangs, Jack Nicholson stars as Poet, a gas-station attendant who ditches his 9-to-5 to hang out with the Hell’s Angels. As you can imagine, his decision to join the group has its benefits and its consequences. Nicholson is in perfect form in his final B movie role, all smiles while cruising through California. It’s got all the right elements for a classic exploitation film, with plenty of violent bar fights and rambunctious rides through the streets.
The Scene: Later in the movie, after Poet has asserted himself into the club, they take a joyride through the mountains. The group makes gang life look fun while they pop wheelies with girls hanging around their waists.
