Synesthesia Suit: Rez Infinite and Crystal Vibes
Designed by the media lab of Japan's Keio University Graduate School of Media, the Synesthesia Suit uses 26 sensors to create a multi-sensory VR experience for the entire body. The first experience, Rez Infinite, allows users to float around a 360-degree space inside a single-player video game, using what feels like a Play Station controller to shoot enemies. If the player gets shot, the suit vibrates. In Crystal Vibes, viewers step inside a psychedelic experience where they can hit away giant bouncing balls, using their hands, and change the landscape with their controllers.
