Weds 1/11: Street Science (Science Channel)
The name says it all. Host and “science guy” Kevin Delaney vacates the lab to instead use various urban environments as the settings for his experiments. Thanks to the mobility of the show’s video equipment, Delaney and his sidekick, Darren Dyk, are able to capture the action in the most unusual places. "Kevin Delaney is science magician, and yet, there's no trickery or sleight of hand, as he reveals the everyday science behind fire, rockets, explosions, and more," says Marc Etkind, general manager of Science Channel. The experiments seen in this series will include creating a man-made fire tornado, adapting leaf blowers into homemade hovercrafts, and using nitrogen to create clouds.
