Weds 2/8: City In The Sky (PBS)
Flying through the sky thousands of feet above the ground is a privilege that many take for granted in this modern day. This PBS program not only helps educate viewers on what an immense task it is to be airborne, but also introduces them to the diverse group of people that are required to make it happen. Each episode dives deep on different topics, like what it takes for pilots to put an aircraft down in Paro, an airport in the Himalayas that is regarded as the most dangerous site to land in the world. Other fascinating subjects include how airports are designed, how runways are inspected, and a peek inside the cockpit of the world’s largest plane.
