APC's Jean Touitou models his collections to look great and fit even better. Unlike many of his contemporaries, the Tunisian-born, Parisian-reared designer prides himself on pieces that make an understated impression – button-downs that are virtually patternless, jeans stitched with an emphasis on durability (instead of flair), and slim-fitting jackets and blazers that gently hug the body. No matter the season, Touitou's clothes remain classically simple, defined by clean lines in muted blues, yellows, reds, and greens.
His label's latest release includes this Army Style Bomber, a subtle standout with buttons that are hidden when clasped and a collar that sits low with elastic ribbing for comfort. Constructed from soft, 100 percent cotton flannel, this steel blue winner is made for casual wear, so keep it unbuttoned over a T-shirt and jeans during the day, then add a light sweater and linen pants at night (basic should never look boring).
