The Class-A, short-season Hillsboro Hops were founded as the Salem Senators back in 1977, before the craft beer boom made Oregon more of a destination for brewers than Milwaukee. The Arizona Diamondback's farm team has fostered some talented big leaguers, including switch-hitting Red Sox outfielder Shane Victorino. Successful Hops players generally climb the later by way of Double A ball in Mobile, but a step up professionally is a step down sartorially. The Hops home hat sets itself apart by featuring a happy hop wearing the Hops' official road cap. Don't think about it too much. [$30; milbstore.com]
