Rusted Nuts or Granola
Another way to get abundant protein on your trip is to pack nuts or granola. (Finding a package of trail mix at an airport vendor that isn’t large enough to feed a small family is a rare occasion indeed.) If you’re feeling focused, getting a package of raw almonds or cashews (or roasting your own) is one way to go. Getting some granola is another — though you should take into account the potential for spillage if you do go that route.
