Joe's High-Fat Recovery Shake
In a 20-ounce squeeze bottle, add ...
- ¼ cup (1 scoop) vanilla or chocolate whey protein
- 1 tbsp omega 3-6-9 oil (nut based)
- ½ cup half and half, unsweetened
- OR -
- ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ tsp vanilla
- cinnamon (optional)
- 1 ½ cups water
Add ½ cup cold water to bottle. Combine whey protein, omega oil, cream and vanilla to bottle. Seal the bottle and shake vigorously. Add a dash or two of cinnamon to taste, then dilute to the top with water.
Joe's Comments: This is a perfect recovery beverage after a low-to-moderate intensity workout, which typically do not deplete muscle glycogen stores.
