Soy allergy is more common in children and most kids outgrow it by age 10. Generally, soy allergy is mild but it can cause anaphylaxis in rare cases. Soybeans are a very common ingredient in many foods and anyone with a soy allergy has to be very careful to read ingredient panels closely.
