The Worst Parking
Drivers Should Avoid: Chicago, Illinois
To drive in Chicago at rush hour is to sit in a city-sized parking lot. No coincidence then that it's also the worst city in the country for drivers when it comes finding a place to park your ride. A few years ago the government decided to amp it up by privatizing the parking meters, which means a visit downtown now results in an extortionate $35 a day to park. You could try and find a free spot on the street, but note the Windy City's other standout stat: there are a third more motor vehicle thefts per capita than the national average.
