The Wildflower Triathlon is considered the Woodstock of tris – a festival that is equal parts live music and bonfires and swim-bike-run. For this freewheeling event, athletes flock to Lake San Antonio with tents, camper shells, and RVs, and ease pre-race jitters with live music, fishing in the lake, and taking out stand-up paddleboards.
The Course: Long course (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run), mountain bike triathlon (.25 mile swim, 9.7 mile mountain bike, and 2 mile run) and Olympic distance (1.5k swim, 40k bike, 10k run).
