In the Midwest, people drink for the season. That means there's an incredible variety of beers available that are perfectly paired with the heat, cold, sunshine, or frigid dark of winter. This diversity was on display in Chicago, Illinois at the fourth stop of the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp tour. Here, from the event, are some of our favorite regional pours.
Solemn Oath Brewery's Eigengrau: Naperville, Illinois
The Brewery: Solemn Oath Brewery, this suburban brewery produces belgian-inspired and American-overdrive beers, doubling their production and their brewing space in their third year in Naperville, Illinois. Sort of like 3 Floyds, but with jokes.

The Beer: Eigengrau
Tasting Notes: A black version of the traditional German kölsch. A light roasted grain character with a subtle hopping puts a unique spin on the delicate fruitiness in this otherwise light bodied, crisp summer drinker.
