For Your TV Remote
From pets to guests, everyone touches the TV remote (and some even spill soda on it). Depending on your model, remove the batteries and the screws holding the two halves of the remote together. Then, slide a flathead screwdriver or pocketknife blade along each side and gently pry the two halves apart. Remove the rubber keypad and clean it with a toothbrush and warm, soapy water. Flip the keypad over and clean each of the contacts with a cotton swab and isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Clean the surface of the circuit board the same way, drying up any excess rubbing alcohol with a microfiber cloth. When everything is dry, reassemble the control.
