Clear Lake Cabin
Nestled on the southern slope of Mount Hood, the tallest peak in the Cascades, Clear Lake Cabin provides the finest snow-covered sights this side of the Canadian border. The 40-foot tower is situated in a thick alpine forest and requires guests to ski, snowmobile, or snowshoe four miles from the parking area to the cabin. But the opportunity to fish in the streams and Little Crater Lake and make your own mini-ski resort out of the tower makes the trek worth it. Includes: Twin bed, solar-powered lights, propane stove, vault toilets, firewood, and a pulley system to haul your gear up. No bedding or water ($50 per night).
