Too much fiber plus too much probiotics equals a lot of gas, says Lipman, so he recommends starting probiotics straight after you finish the cleanse. "First you kill the bad guys, then you flood your system with the good guys," he explains. Don't plan to end your cleanse at a party or other celebration meal. You'll want to add the forbidden foods back in slowly, one category every couple of days. Add gluten last.
