Just off the coast of Spain in the Mediterranean Sea, Mallorca is a popular spot that's on most European vacation agendas. Luckily most tourists stick to the beaches and avoid the innumerable world-class rock climbing locations throughout the island.
The abundance of limestone cliffs offers some of the best (bolted) sports climbing routes in the world. There are hundreds upon hundreds of bouldering routes, traditional climbs, and incredible deep water soloing (you climb over water so you fall into the ocean). Best of all, after spending a day on the crags there is always a cantina near by offering cold cervecas and traditional dishes.
Climbing luminaries such as Chris Sharma, Alex Honnold, and Sasha DiGiulian regularly trek to the island to climb, and so can you. Climbing is available year round due to the climate on the island.
