“Make them question each and every pick they make to the extent that they want to discuss trades for your ‘superior’ draft picks before the seventh round is even over,” says Don. “Turn positives about players into negatives in their minds – ‘Yeah, Victor Cruz is good, but when was the last time Eli had a good year?’ ” Don is firmly against “mom jokes and personal attacks,” but we find that serious trash talk puts less confident players further off-balance. While they’re searching for comebacks, they’ll make more mistakes. Any pressure is good pressure.
