The Dopp Kit is one of those standout inventions that was just slightly ahead of its time. First conceived by Charles Doppelt in 1919, it wasn't until a quarter century later, when his zippered mini bag of toiletries was given to a few million GIs during WWII, that it became a standard item in the male grooming arsenal.
