Obstacle races are badly named. The Tough Mudder, Goruck Nasty, and Spartan Race force participants to handle a series of hazards on their way to the finish line. There are only a handful of physical challenges on Earth that force competitors to confront a single, nearly insurmountable obstacle and overcome it. These events separate the boys from the men from the superheroes and they are as fun as they are difficult
These six tests of athletes heroism are arduous, complicated, and technical. They also each test a different superhero trait. No one will ever master all of them, but if you focus on the one you're best suited to attempt, you'll have the opportunity to prove your mettle once and for all. You'll never be superman, but that doesn't mean you can't have one super power. Choose yours and prepare for a true test.
There are only so many G-Turns, Helipops, and J-rolls you can do before you start to wonder: "How fast can a street luge go?" The answer turns out to be extremely fast, around 98 miles an hour if you're competing in the World Championships, which are held annually on an outrageous course in Teutonia, Brazil. The International Gravity Sports Association (you read that right) oversees the event and it's less fatal than you might imagine.
