Dressing for the office gets trickier as the weather gets warmer. You want to look buttoned up, but you don't want to overheat or sweat through thick fabrics. Time to break out the linen blends and light colors. Instead of spending a bundle on expensive shirts, which will – let's face it – probably be permanently pit-stained before August, pick up a couple of these affordable-but-good-looking summer shirts.
Everlane Slim Fit Oxford
Fashion people – and Silicon Valley VCs – are taking notice of this start-up brand known for well-made basics. To catch you up: Everlane makes its products in the same factories – and using many of the same materials – as designers, but they only charge a fraction of the price. One of their best offerings is the Slim Fit Oxford line, which comes in an array of inky colors – the best among them Forest, Oxblood, and Sand – and fits like a glove. Everlane only makes products in small batches, so you'll want to check back every couple of weeks to survey some of their newer options. And a warning to men with larger chests and shoulders: you may want to go up a size. [$55; everlane.com]
