Trim your toenails straight across with a toenail clipper or manicure scissors and then file them down to desired length if necessary. Cutting toenails too short could result in pain or infection. Apply baby powder or talcum powder in the morning to keep feet dry throughout the day. Particularly pungent feet are often a result of bacteria or fungus. Zeichner recommends applying an over-the-counter antifungal cream like Lotrimin to the soles of the feet, and in between the toes. "If you have really sweaty feet, you need to do what you need to do to keep your feet dry," he says. "Bring an extra pair of socks to work and change your socks...and try to stay away from tight leather shoes."
