While it's not yet part of polite conversation, anal sex isn't all that taboo anymore. According to at least one national survey, anal, in its many forms, is rising in popularity among couples of all kinds. "It's something worth trying," says Megan Stubbs, sexologist and graduate of the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality. "There might someone out there who's tried it and they hate it, and that's perfectly okay. Not everything is for everyone." If you're among the curious — or even the experienced — here is what's important to know.
