Coconut oil has long been used on the Indian subcontinent as an all-around elixir for dry and damaged hair. More recently, though, the U.S. National Institutes of Health found that it actually penetrates hair fibers and can treat something called "hygral fatigue," which is a more scientific way of saying your hair is so thirsty, it feels like steel wool. The makers added vitamin E for all-around health and grapeseed oil, a natural astringent that will help clear up beneath-the-beard acne. We found the blend to be extremely concentrated, making it appropriate for thick hair, but be warned: A little goes an extremely long way. [$40 for 2 ounces; beardbuddy.bigcartel.com]
