Serious golfers know how important a great short game can be, but hitting the putting green is a bore. Instead, head to a miniature golf course and get competitive. Only three putters have ever hit an 18 and, on the right day, under the right circumstances, you could be number four. Give it a shot at one of the best courses in the country.
Dolphin Mini Golf, Maine
Dolphin Mini Golf is an 18-hole outdoor course in Boothbay with, as its name suggests, a nautical theme. Obstacles include a ship's wheel with handles to thread a ball between. There's also a putting green shaped like an anchor. The facility even has a covered bridge with a shell museum in it, giving you an authentic nautical experience.
