Serious golfers know how important a great short game can be, but hitting the putting green is a bore. Instead, head to a miniature golf course and get competitive. Only three putters have ever hit an 18 and, on the right day, under the right circumstances, you could be number four. Give it a shot at one of the best courses in the country.
Mayday Golf, South Carolina
Mayday Golf in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, bills itself as "Home of the Big Yellow Airplane." Indeed, there's a big yellow airplane on Mayday Mountain, one of the courses here. The story goes that you and your buddies were on this plane and it experiences engine problems during the flight. The captain makes an emergency landing on an island, and on this island you play mini golf. Mayday Golf also has a course called Rescue Falls, complete with a rescue helicopter.
