If the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 is the first DSLR you buy, consider yourself spoiled. Cameras with sensor arrays and interchangeable lenses this big aren't supposed to be born so tiny: At a wee 13 ounces, the SL1 weighs 25 percent less than the closest Canon DSLR – the T4i. In fact, the SL1 is the smallest and lightest DSLR on the planet, coming close to the compact portability of range finder–style mirrorless cameras while accepting the numerous full-size optics in Canon's long-running line of EF lenses.
