This board has great float in powder, thanks to a hybrid base profile with camber under the back foot and an early upturned nose. It threw us into a more forward, aggressive posture, which resulted in tons of control. The directional freeride shape – a set-back stance and a shorter tail that's stiffened – and single "Ultimate Traction Bump" offer up much of that same control on groomers. And while you won't feel that bump until you need it, it provides exceptional grip on variable terrain. [$449; slashsnow.com]
