Oakley Limited BioZone

Best for Skiing

After weeks of resort skiing and snowshoeing, we found the BioZone to be the most impressive softshell we zipped up. It melds three types of fabric to combine the weather-defending qualities of a hardshell with the mobility of a much softer layer. Windproof fabric in the hood, shoulders, and sides provides protection from the elements. Classic softshell fabrics nylon and spandex in the chest and back retain core warmth while enabling your torso to twist freely. Thin, weather-resistant stretch material in the arms allows for motion; a bit of fleece liner adds warmth. It never overheated or restricted our movements but kept us insulated. [$350; oakley.com]
