LG G Flex 2: The More Elegant, Curved Smartphone
Next in LG's hit parade is the successor to the neat, though relatively niche G Flex smartphone. The G Flex 2 retains the subtle curve and press-flat flexibility, but has a more elegant design, and top-of-the-line specs and components. It also feels great in your hand, particularly for a large phone (the full HD, P-OLED screen is 5.5 inches across its diagonal). The core benefits of a curved screen are the same for TVs as phones, such as reduced glare and more viewing angles — in landscape orientation — but LG makes a solid case for the increased durability of a phone that can't land with the screen flush against a surface. It also "heals" scratches on the rear of the phone quicker than its predecessor, with marks disappearing in about 10 seconds. It's a gimmick with purpose, since, between the inherently protected screen and the regenerative back, you don't need to hide this genuinely gorgeous Android phone behind an unsightly case. LG hasn't announced pricing, but it will be available later this year.
