Most men have oily skin and so should avoid grooming products with ingredients that can block pores and lead to breakouts. Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, for example, found in sunblocks such as Neutrogena Sensitive Skin SPF 30, are good at keeping out the sun but can exacerbate other skin woes. Sunscreens such as SkinCeuticals Active UV Defense SPF 20 contain avobenzone, octocrylene, and Mexoryl SX, which protect against the entire spectrum of UVA and UVB rays. These may not last as long as zinc oxide, but they're less likely to cause breakouts. [$38; skinceuticals.com]
