High-Power, Long-Life Drills

New friction-free, brushless motors may be the biggest development in power tools since the lithium-ion battery – they're more powerful and last far longer. We had the DIY Network's Chris Grundy evaluate four leading models and share his findings with us. As host of the DIY Network's 'Cool Tools,' Chris Grundy is well versed in the latest power tools. "A drill/driver might be the most versatile tool in your kit," he says. He tested these models by repeatedly drilling a handful of four-inch screws into 4x6 planks of Douglas fir.
