Sure, sprinkle on some freshly grated cheese – but why stop there? Even if your recipe doesn't call for it, try an extra splash of extra-virgin olive oil or a pat of butter for richness, lemon juice to brighten it up, toasted bread crumbs or nuts for crunch, or chopped herbs for aroma and color.
