How to Play 'Call of Duty' Better
Playing 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 2' is a good time, but winning is even better. To help you get the edge against the online hordes, we spoke to some folks that train the pros – professional gamers, that is, digital athletes who can make millions of dollars a year playing video games.
To help improve the skills of even the most uncoordinated among us, we turned to Mike "Hastr0" Rufail and Ryan "Fwiz" Wyatt, the official play-by-play announcers for Major League Gaming (MLG). Rufail, a retired pro player himself, is now the eSports advisor for 'Call of Duty' creators Activision and Treyarch. Wyatt, for his part, launched the eSports coverage at Machinima, a premier online destination for game videos.
We caught up with the two as they prepped for the MLG Winter Championship, taking place this weekend in Dallas, Texas (and viewable live on the MLG website). The event kicks off the 10th annual MLG Pro Circuit season, where nearly 200 teams will compete for placement in the championship bracket (and their share of a $1 million tournament purse). Here's what they told us about improving your 'Call of Duty' game.
