Last November, the 36-year-old's streak of five consecutive titles was snapped by notorious bad-boy Tony Stewart. Now, the duo is locked in a dead heat, and just three points behind Denny Hamlin. Reclaiming stock car racing's biggest crown would bring sweet redemption for Johnson. But it would also add yet another welcome keepsake for his impossibly tricked out, 13,000-square-foot man-cave.
