Tiger may be out, but the showdown at Augusta National will still offer some of the best drama in all of sports. The odds are in Rory McIlroy's favor, but anything can happen in Georgia – and frequently does. Here are the 10 players to watch if you're looking for excitement. Whether or not they end up sliding into the green jacket, these guys will definitely put on a show.
Bubba, whose real name is Gerry, won the 2012 Masters with one of the most unbelievable recoveries in the tournament's history. From 50 feet in the woods, he managed a near boomerang hook with a wedge onto the green. But 2013 saw Watson go winless on the PGA tour and failing to defend his title at Augusta to the tune of finishing fiftieth. This year, Watson is off to a strong start, brandishing a hot putter to five top tens in eight starts, including a win at The Northern Trust Open.
Expect his Masters performance to hinge on his driver. Watson is ranked first on the PGA in driving distance but only 138th in driving accuracy. Watson is a man who lives for the opportunity to hit a heroic shot (or two) and he will need just that if he wants to stroll down Magnolia Lane a two-time Masters champ.
