With potentially wet conditions inundating Augusta National this weekend, a big hitter off the tee may persevere off the tee, and few hit drives longer than Dustin Johnson.
After a rather ambiguous and gossip-filled hiatus from the tour last year, Johnson has returned to form. In his six starts this season he has a win at the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship and four top tens, elevating him to seventh in the world and sixth in the race to the FedEx Cup, and its $10 million paycheck.
But Johnson has not fared well at the Masters. In five starts he only has one top-25 finish. As a new father, Johnson has found focus, and as a reinvigorated gym rat, he has found more strength (somehow). Both could help him on his way to a win at Augusta.
