Baselworld, the annual watch convention in Basel, Switzerland is awash in glitzy timepieces covered in jewels, forged in gold, and studded with finely crafted tourbillons. But among the five-figure status pieces was plenty of wrist candy we'd love to wear that are (almost) affordable.
Tudor Heritage Ranger
Oh-so-simple, but oh-so-cool, the Ranger is inspired by the '60s Ranger watches, but is updated with a modern 41mm case and luminous numbers on the jet black dial. Completing the retro look is a bund leather strap (an additional fabric strap is also included) and the Tudor rose logo engraved on the crowd. The company's promotional video depicts a scruffy dog sled driver, but we think this watch fits less adventurous urban pursuits just as well. [$2,825; tudorwatch.com]
