The Hotel Nightclub is Too Popular
I once stopped in Bandirma, a small city on the southern shores of the Sea of Marmara, and spent the night at a new hotel. The rooms were fine. But as often happens in Turkey, Mexico, and elsewhere, this hotel happened to be the place to go in town for the hottest nightclub. The music kept on thumping well into the middle of the night. Since smoking was allowed in the club, much of the smoke came into the hallways of the hotel. I remember putting a towel at the bottom of my door to try to seal the gap.
