Sure, you can order six pizzas, a few buckets of wings, and a case of cheap beer for your Super Bowl party. But where's the sport in that? Wouldn't you rather make your own beer-infused pizza dough, use a chicken recipe from Mississippi's City Grocery, and serve cocktails strong enough for an offensive lineman.
More of a doctored beer than a beer cocktail, the michelada features lime, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and beer, served on ice. This version nails that tart, savory, spicy mix. Consider it a blueprint for experimentation.
Mexican hot sauce
1 bottle of Mexican lager
Salt the rim. Add ice, the juice of the lime, a shake of Worcestershire sauce, as much hot sauce as you want, and top with beer.
