The K-01 is bulkier than other MILCs, but it's also unusual: It's able to fit any of Pentax's many existing K-mount lenses, including lusted-after pre-digital glass dating to the 1970s. The design is boxy, available in screaming yellow (as well as a more traditional white or black), and divisive: You'll either respect its sparse, toylike shape and buttons or despise them. But for anyone with access to Pentax lenses, or eBay, this 16-megapixel oddity is a low-cost win. [$750 (body), $850 (with lens); pentaximaging.com]
