The 2013 white-and-gold version of the Demarini Juggernaut took the game by storm and almost all of last year's models are sold out. The 2014 all black version has a different paint scheme, but hits just as well. The composite barrel and handle is designed to create more whip as the bat comes through the strike zone than a bat with a metal handle. In addition, the softer materials produce less vibration and feedback for the hitter. A short barrel and weighting towards the endcap favors the power hitter. [$299; justbats.com]
